Former Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategy Elbridge Colby : ( Relating to North Korea ) We should not expect Chinese favor . There appears to be room for negotiations between the US and North Korea, unless North Korea wants to be completely turned into a Chinese tool.

(We shouldn’t expect Beijing to do us any favors but if North Korea doesn’t want to be completely a tool and a plaything of China, then there will be some negotiating space it seems to me.)
